Women in Business Luncheon

Thank you to all who attended our Women in Business Luncheon today! It was a great success thanks to all who volunteered and participated. This event is a great networking opportunity for women in the region and provides the opportunity for women to build strong relations with other women in the community.

National Night Out

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Here are some photos from National Night Out 2022 in Smyth County!

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and a local community affiliate. After launching in 1995, the program grew quickly and became such a success that in 2000 a national replication effort was underway. The Chamber of Commerce of Smyth County saw the need for an early childhood literacy program in 2016 and became the affiliate to bring the program to Smyth County.

Family Fish and Fun Day

On June 4th, we hosted the annual Family Fish and Fun Day at Hungry Mother State Park. We had a great turn out of participants fishing in the tournament and those who volunteered.

Troop Appreciation Packages

As a way to show a small token of our appreciation for our troops, the Smyth County Chamber of Commerce, along with others, worked to create appreciation packages for 135 troop members. Today was a great success at Older Americans Day! We appreciate everyone who came out and supported the event. Thank you to those who helped sponsor the event and volunteered.

Ribbon Cutting at Clothed in Grace

5 Bridges Wellness Fair

On Friday May 20th, 2022 the Chamber of Commerce had an opportunity to set up at the 5 Bridges Wellness Fair sponsored by Mount Rogers Community Services.

Despite the weather, Marion Outdoors was able to have a successful Grand Opening Party. Located at 208 E. Main Street, Marion Outdoors is Marion, Virginia’s Outdoor Gear & Appalachian Trail Resupply shop.
