Molly’s Knob Extreme 5K Challenge Results

On Saturday October 14, 2023 the Chamber of Commerce of Smyth County held their annual Molly’s Knob Extreme 5K Challenge at Hungry Mother State Park. This is not an average 5K, as it hosts over 1,000 feet of elevation gain in the first 1.7 miles and runs a total distance of 3.4 miles. Runners came from various states to conquer Molly’s Knob Challenge. The runners and their times are posted below. The winner of the Men’s Category was Billy Barnett with a time of 27.56 and the winner of the Women’s Category was Kennedy Williams with a time of 44.59. The overall winner was Billy Barnett with the time of 27.56.
