Looking to try somewhere new in Smyth County? Check out today’s New Business Monday feature, Sweet Angel’s located in downtown Saltville. Owner Margo Wilburn opened Sweet Angel’s on November 22, 2022, serving gourmet soups, delicious sandwiches, and baked goods.
Not only does Sweet Angle’s have amazing food, but everything served is made with passion and love. Margo said “I came up with Sweet Angel’s for 3 of the most loved and influential people in my life who have passed away. My foster Mother, Momma, who taught me so much in a kitchen including making extravagant wedding cakes. My best friend, Nathan who passed away in 10th grade, who’s goal was to become a chef so I followed his dream to keep his memory alive by passing on his love for food. Last but not least, my brother in law who was my biggest hype man when it came to anything I cooked, even if it was burnt.” Margo also loves to share her passion and love for food with the local communities through amazing flavors and culinary artistry. In the future, Margo aspires to begin a cooking class for underprivileged children, youth, and young adults, giving them a foundation through skills for a better future, the same way she was influenced by her foster mother.
You can find Sweet Angel’s at 105 W Main Street, Saltville, Virginia 24370 on Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00pm to 6:30pm. Also check out their Facebook page at Sweet Angel’s.
